What do you do to keep yourself motivated and interested in your work? I just imagine the outcome, the final creature to keep myself going, knowing that will be worth the time and effort, I listen to some music and I make a tea and then just dive into it.
.
What is the most interesting species of animal you’ve made up? And tell us a little about it. The most interesting creature I’ve breed so far has been a baby dryad inspired in Alien movie. I have a burnt phoenix in the back burner that I plan to retake soon and I think he could become my masterpiece once finished (along with many speciesI plan to breed in the future).
.
If your creative work were edible, what would it taste like? I would say… Enrisking myself to sound vain…They just taste like your favourite meal. People who has one of my creatures use to have an special connection to them, which is a honour.
.
What do you take inspiration from for your artwork? I just travel to Fairyland and bring them home, then I study them and breed them. The ones that are human friendly are the ones that I sell. I might sell the ocassional troublesome creature sometimes though. As a magical creature dealer I have to pay attention to the needs of the potential owners and I breed accordingly.
.
What is a weird or fun fact about yourself? In the very first expo I met my amazing husband, exactly one year later we married and two months and a half later our son was born (our forest wild little beast). Sounds like a crazy fast pace but it was the right pace for us. We always joke about it and we say… “We are the little by little’s!” hahahaha Another thing, I love Hawaiian pizza.
Do you listen to music while you create, and if so what song do you play most? I have a playlist on youtube that I play everytime I hit the breeding desk. Sometimes I like listening to Clair de Lune (from Debussy) on a loop, it takes me straight to Fairyland when/if everything else fails.
