Welcome to the Fantasy Creature Doll Club featured artist of the month article! We have some incredible talent and wonderful people in our club. How about we get to know a bit about each other? The following is our August 2018 interview. Enjoy!

What do you do to keep yourself motivated and interested in your work? This is honestly the thing I struggle with the most I daily battle mental Demons so struggle to start stay motivated I’m lucky to have found a wonderful group of artists who help give advise and motivation when I’m at my worst so I highly recommend reaching out to ur peers for support

What is the most interesting species of creature you’ve made up? And tell us a little about it. I would have to say my sea bats are the most interesting it’s a series of 13 figurines I’m working on of part bat part sea horse creatures that come from the 12 seas on the moon and the guardian of all of them a seal hybrid named for the ocean I’m working on a story to go with each character (I’m not releasing any till the whole series is complete but pictures of Oceanus can be found on my Facebook)

What is your favorite part of the doll making process? I would have to say my favorite part is seeing them come to life as the finishing touches are added. It’s even better when u see someone love one as much as u do and give them a home

Do you listen to music while you create, and if so what song do you play most? It depends on my mood honestly but for the most part yes. The song will change every few months currently it’s waiting on Superman by Daughtry but usually its a lot of Disney

What is a weird or fun fact about yourself? Despite the fact I use a mermaid persona and my art is heavily influenced by the sea and moon I’m actually deathly afraid of water and don’t know how to swim.

If you could be any animal in the world, what animal would you be and why? This is another hard one do mythicals count if so dragon and so many reasons if not I’d say a fox. It’s my totem animal so I guess it just makes sense I also like being in the woods.
